Intelligence is not Enough

Calling for interdisciplinary collaboration in AI Safety isn’t just noble, it’s borderline desperate.

Maybe it’s not just wishful thinking. Perhaps it’s the collective whisper of a species racing toward the unknown without a seatbelt or a map. We’ve got the brains: AI scientists, philosophers, lawyers, anthropologists … the whole intellectual buffet.

What we need now is coordination, not competition.

Wisdom, not just intelligence.

This isn’t sci-fi paranoia. It’s overdue responsibility. The clock’s ticking, and hope alone won’t stop the countdown.

Camus once said,

“In an unfree world, rebellion is the only freedom.”

Currently, insisting on safe and ethical AI is a form of rebellion. So let’s keep pushing. Hope with a strategy still beats fear with a budget.

Here are some interdisciplinary AI safety centers and major reports/papers:

  • Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) — Cambridge

AI, philosophy, economics, policy; existential risk, AI governance (futureoflife.org, en.wikipedia.org, futureofhumanityinstitute.org) (https://www.cser.ac.uk/)
